It was considered Mercedes premier personal luxury car model. This car features the M156. The first AMG exclusively designed and built, double overhead cam, 4 valve per cylinder, V8 of nearly 6.3 Liters of displacement. All previous AMG cars utilized the AMG modified Mercedes engine. The M156 and higher horsepower M159 engine were designed from the beginning to be a naturally aspirated, high performance and race engines that were used in the SLS sports car and the GT3 race car.
